About the Author

Ordained a Roman Catholic priest, he left the active ministry, married, worked as a therapist, then later became an Episcopal priest. In 2004, together with his wife and son, he made a pilgrimage to Medjugorje in thanksgiving for her healing from cancer. It was at this first pilgrimage that he felt called to reconcile with the Roman Catholic Church--a church from which he had been excommunicated.

Following his reconciliation with the Church he and his wife have lead numerous pilgrimages to Medjugorje. He continues to give talks and retreats on a variety of spiritual topics. He reaches a broad audience because of the wealth of his experiences as a priest, therapist, protestant minister, excommunicant, and of course a husband and father.  He works part time as a family counselor for a nearby family services group.

Michael enjoys family adventures, pilgrimages, getting lost, bicycling, cooking, fly fishing, building projects, and music composition.  He and his son tour on occasion with a blues rock band and recently he embarked on an intensive study and frustration of the cello. He lives with his lovely wife, Wendy--(who works very hard at multiple jobs supporting the family),  and son Isaac, father (Pappy),  several (5) unruly dogs, four finches and one very loud conure named Haydn. On occasion he is known to set up a toy train and, every spring, fly a kite into a tree.
